On Tuesday TRM Daily Report featured the war stories from the raft fishing trip in the upper Tongariro.
The image above is the end of the inmates reunion dinner.
Two years later they still rejoice in the experience. So why haven’t you tried it too?
In a clockwise direction the inmates are Barry Stuck (who was quizzed about his fishing techniques?), Skipper John from Ballarat in West Island with wife Pauline Porteous, Paul Gandell from West Island (who compared rafting down the Zambezi) , John Dreyer from West Island (who has fished and rafted everywhere that I haven’t) , SWMBO (who claims She is from Heaven ?), and Murray Cullen also from West Island.
Yesterday, despite the wet unfavourable conditions, Barry returned with his evidence – two Rainbows and a brown trout, each over 7 pound).
Richard did better late afternoon with a total of eight – nymphing in the Tongariro town pools.
You really should be here.
(PS We should apologise for the Genesis river flow chart for the Tongariro and other local rivers stuck on the flow on 22 January… We emailed them yesterday but no change – yet…)
