As anticipated in the TRM Daily Report yesterday, Cyclone Cook missed Turangi.  Our sympathies with the Bay of Plenty.  In Turangi it was just another damp day with a few showers.  Most of our concern was over the cancellations and juggling rooms to accommodate late arrivals who were warned not to drive north or south?  Locally it looked like an over hyped non-event but it was best to be careful.  The Tongariro River flow chart for the last month indicates how it compared to the rain early last week.
