TRM’s holiday competition winners…

The winners of TRM holiday photography fishing competition are the Hanover team from Taranaki.  The sequence of catch images on Sunday 2 October below say it all.  Photographer was Dad – Craig Hanover from New Plymouth.

At the top is the initial hook-up by Taylor with Jim on net duty.  This should be a reminder to all Tongariro anglers.  The trout are often seen resting or recovering out of the current in the shallow slack water.  FFF means Fish Feet First!  These anglers had no choice – He could not wade far as he was limited by SWMBO’s gardening boots.

(It’s OK – She will never know as She is away on annual pre-Christmas shopping leave again)

Note Grandad (Crafty Hanover) in the distance desperately shouting out landing instructions.  Note the pouring rain did not put them off.  Note the team work involved.  These kids – Taylor & Jim from St. Josephs School in New Plymouth – will never forget that moment.  What a wonderful sequence of images.
