Yesterday TRM posted for the Daily Report a short promotional video on Turangi which encouraged some response from readers – i.e. a Taranaki fan MB asked:
Thanks MB.
TRM’s slide-show was inspired by a West Island fishing club inquiry as to what they could expect to find within a five minute walk of TRM.
Hannah, one of our lovely housekeepers was the only staff member with the computer skills for the iMac to stitch it together.
SWMBO took the images with her iPhone within a five minute walk.
A kind inmate was trying out his dronephotography skills and provided the aerial images.
I take full responsibility for choosing the Patea Maori Club music (young people like Hannah had never heard such toe-tapping music before).
But what SWMBO is anxious to point out to MB was that TRM was first!
Comparatively the Taranaki version was a much better professional promotion with obviously a far greater budget and cast including the Prime Minister and so many other players. Their enthusiasm is infectious. Great stuff. But it was dated 4 December 2016.
So they must have got their inspiration from TRM as the ‘original’ TRM version was dated 19 August 2016.
As Oscar Wilde suggested, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…” So if you really want to be first – follow TRM Daily Reports…
