Interesting feed-back from inmates who “invested” in the new book “TONGARIRO SKULDUGGERY”. They all love the plot and the way the sub-plots complement the theme of the story. So many have asked the same questions involving the skull – “What happened to the skull? Did we really find a skull? Was it real?” We cannot give away the plot so they have to read the rest of the book to find out. But we can confirm from others that it is a “page-turner” with a surprise ending.
What we can quote is directly from the Introduction. The fishy story includes everything needed for a good read – to make sure all tastes are provided for, it even includes a sultry seduction theme, there is local historical evidence of pre-Maori settlement leading up to modern Turangi and the Government compulsory acquisition rip-offs involving Turangi, a gigantic game of bluff involving bribery and corruption, some fishy stories of Tongariro River Motel inmates, everything an epic novel should have, except it is not a novel.
It is a “mockumentary” or a documentary mocking the establishment. It is all true except where I lied…

A few chapter headings might better indicate the extent of the drama without giving anything away: The Skull, Moa Hunters, DNA, Discoveries beyond coincidence, Viral Growth (on the internet), Tongariro anglers, Intimidation, Triads, Bluffing, Grey Power, Waitangi Tribunal, Rent a Friend, Innovative solution, the Spy, the Broker, the Gambler, the Turangi Treaty, a total of 36 chapters to keep you enthralled. This is no idle boast as several inmates reported they could not put it down and read throughout the night to discover the plot.

This book costs $39 – only available at Tongariro River Motel. Alternatively send your postal address and confirmation that $45 has been paid into: Tongariro Book Account: 38 9010 0713638 01
