The rain this morning washed much of the autumn colours out of the trees surrounding TRM so we panicked to capture the last of the seasonal display.

All these autumn images below are within an easy one minute stroll from TRM. We appreciate visitors reminding us how beautiful it is to watch the seasons come and go so vividly. They are past their best now but still present a stunning picture to reflect “climate change” (?) in Turangi.

What is also interesting is all these inmates come from the larger cities like Auckland where apparently they do not see such dramatic photographic evidence of the changing seasons.

As the Autumn colours pics replace the Tongariro fishy pics (?) this is an angler landing his Rainbow trout by walking it up onto the beach at the tail of the Bridge Pool. The trout prefer this landing techniques to hand nets.

Immediately across SH 1 from TRM is a park extending from the road bridge to the Turangi CBD. This is covered in a variety of mature deciduous varieties to add so much to the walking track

Where else could one find such a brilliant symphony in colour all within a one minute walk of the motel?
