The above image of a 7 pound Rainbow jack that was released by John Porteous – mentioned in TRM Daily Report for Tuesday – sparked some interesting reaction …
From Paul Dewar Ross that’s what we need I believe, more of the bigger fish being let go to breed and take the smaller ones home for the smoker, No farmer kills his best breading stock! Well done to that man
another commented:
Stephen Stewart Ross, I came across an angler that had knocked an 8lb rainbow jack on the head last weekend. Very impressive for a fresh fish.Several other TRM inmates commented along the same lines.
So who is correct? Perhaps Taupo Fishery needs some more imaginative regulations – like that promoted by Fish & Game.
What do you think?
