Yesterday’s photos indicate the recent progress with the boxing form work mounted on top of the foundations, waiting for the rest of the steel supporting structure to support the bridge. Tourists have commented on the contractors leaving a very tidy building site, which has not hindered trampers, anglers, and bikers during the school holidays.

The photo above is from the head of Major Jones Pool looking upriver over the lone angler in the Breakfast Pool.  This indicates how far it is from the MJ Pool.  Yet, based on feedback so far, it remains the anglers’ preferred name for the new bridge.  Watch this space…
