Much of the local character of small-town NZ is from the artists at work adding their imagination to whatever the town is famous for. In Turangi, of course, that is for trout fishing. The creations add much entertainment on a walk around town to realise how many there still are, even after losing some of the most best-known sculptures – gone but not forgotten. See photos below:
