Over the past two weeks TRM have posted several photos from a Canadian inmate. We now discover he is a refugee imposter! He was born in Masterton but now lives in Edmonton. Sometimes the only way to find out their true provenance is to take them fishing. Garry had caught trout from every river pool around Turangi so it was time for a change. We headed west over to the Wanganui River, more to give him a glimpse and a brief taste of what else is available to offer fishy guests. It was more of a tiki tour rather than a fishing trip, as at peak holiday time we allow tourists to swim in our rivers as well.

The photos are self-explanatory – hopefully to illustrate what a wonderful fishy environment we enjoy (and take for granted and need to do more to protect it).
