The Rise Fly Fishing film festival for Taupo for the fourth year running for one show only at Starlight Cinema at 8.00 pm on Wednesday 14th of September 2016.

All profits will once again go to Didymo Dave to assist with his conservation work on the Hinemaiaia and Waitahanui Rivers;  all of us benefit from his volunteer endeavours, so it would be great to support him in return.

Once again we will have a charity auction on the night called by Bayleys Auctioneer Grant Bayley.

This year we have:
1.       A $1,000.00 flight time voucher from Helisika – to allow you to experience first-hand the beauty and spectacular fishing in our local backcountry; and
2.       A one day raft fishing trip on the Tongariro courtesy of Tongariro River Rafting – worth $700.00; and
3.       A pair of Simms breathable waders courtesy of the team at Fly & Gun Hunting and Fishing Taupo – and Manic Tackle;

all of which have been generously donated and will be auctioned on the night.

The Event
In essence the event lasts 2 hours, in which multiple international and national movies are being screened. There are also door prize giveaways and lots of different fishing DVDs can be purchased before and after the show.
