Other local tourist attractions?

Horse trek drink stop – 2006

SWMBO can never please everyone. After showing off the hot rod cars, tourists asked where to go to see horses instead. Some ladies just cannot get enthusiastic about old cars. They had seen the peak hour morning traffic congestion on Taupahi Road (photo below) last week. After walking TRM’s dog along to horse grazing paddocks on Taupahi Road, they needed more info on horse treks, so we sent them to Korohe. But if they stay here often enough the horses will come to them! Other photos of very under-rated tourist horse treks in this region are just to tease them.

If you go fishing in the Tongariro River, you never know what might be found swimming in the popular trout pool…
Water ballet? The horses loved it.
