Many thanks to a generous John Dumcumb – a keen Tongariro River angler from Auckland who has a holiday home at Turangi to help speed his therapy to recover from Jafa stress.

Yesterday John was  delivering 2 sets of chest waders and a landing net yesterday and returned again today with more gear including two reels.

This generosity is all in response to the excellent programme introduced by Didymo Dave (image on right doing his impersonation of another world leader?) & Doug Stevens (from NZFishing.com) to encourage local youth into fishing.

On the Hinemaiaia River – where Dave usually operates his ‘school’ – deeper wading is necessary so his ‘students’ need warm dry chest waders if they want to survive.
