Tongariro River rafting

Isn’t it cool to watch families discover their pioneering spirit as they create their own holiday fun on the Tongariro River?

Based on TRM’s guests’ holiday experiences, they always enjoy so much more memorable fun, making up their own adventure programme in NZ’s wonderful wilderness.

For anyone planning a similar raft trip, you have to supply your own rafts or canoes or kayaks or rubber duckies or paddle boards for river trips. TRM’s inflatable waterstriders are purely trout hunting machines restricted to still water lake fishing and not designed or suitable for Tongariro River rapids.

(This post is also to convince viewers that Turangi did have some warm summer days earlier in January.)

Email from guests today.

Hi Ross

Sorry this has taken us so long to send through.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get many photos as it was all go once we left Blue Pool.

I’ve got a photo of us starting out our adventure and one of Max going down some rapids on the paddleboard.

Many thanks for the stay and the tips about the river rafting – it was LOTS of fun!!

Alex and family

I was not smart enough to post the video of Max on the paddleboard in the rapids. I need Max to do it for me…
