The Toe-paw controversy continues. The phonetic spelling was supposed to be a bit of a “piss-take” for April Fools’ Day but so many took it seriously. Perhaps they were mainly from Toe-paw?

So this is for all those who imagine that Toe-paw neglects Turangi’s bike trail plans?

Below is their main aerial image to promote the region – “Love Taupo” – with an aerial photo of Turangi.

The cute little tourist village visible under, or to the right, of the bleeding heart is Turangi. Toe-paw is somewhere out-of-sight 50 km distance away fading in the gloom.

They cannot be much more supportive than that.
